Midlands Eastern Cape
involved the design, reconstruction and
restoration of a 1916 Settler home. This home
had been vacant for 60 years and had been used
amongst others as a goat shed, feed store and as
staff housing. Most of the existing flooring and
ceilings, doors, windows and fireplaces had been
plundered or removed. We were left with little
more than a shell, beautiful stone walling and
magnificent oak trees as our canvas.
new floors and ceilings were fitted with poplar
timber beams and floor boards and a bedroom was
created in the roof.
reflect a modern classic style which embrace
